Have Vitamin D Deficiency, Anemia. Leg Pain. No Swelling Or Redness. Tender To Touch. Any Ideas?
Hello, I have chronic vitamin D deficiency and anemia. I have also been having a pain issue with my lower left leg for the last year or so. I do not recall any injury to the area. There is no or minimal swelling, no redness and I can walk on it just fine, but it hurts and is tender to the touch. It used to come and go, but now it seems to be hurting most of the time. Any ideas what it could be or how I could narrow down the possibilities?
Hello, Your symptoms definitely suggest VIT D deficiency but I can't understand that why have you not been able to correct this deficiency especially when you know about it.Treament of VIT D deficiency is quite easy and can be easily cured by taking appropriate VIT D supplement. I would advise you to consult a doctor and get your VIT D and iron rechecked and simultaneously get serum calcium, serum VIT B 12 and thyroid status also checked. After the reports, you can start a proper treatment under the guidance of your doctor. All these deficiencies shall be all right in next 3 to 6 months with disciplined treatment and supplementation. Thanks
