A lymph node in the neck can appear due to many diseases. If its painful and sudden in appearance, you may think it to be an acute infection. If its been there for a while, a ultrasound scan and guided FNAC may be useful in confirming diagnosis.
Proper treatment may be started after confirming diagnosis. It could be a chronic granulomatous infection.
Dreams are an extension of your thought and you must have thought of HIV on the day you had the dream. If your HIV test is negative, you could get it repeated after sometime and in all probability that may also come negative.
Please go for protected sex if having multiple sexual partners.
Hope this helps.
