Hi
Stalopam(10 mg) contains Escitalopram which is a Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors or serotonin-specific reuptake inhibitor (SSRIs). SSRIs preparations are not given during pregnancy and breast feeding, rather contraindicated. Studies show that they increase the rate of miscarriages, birth defects, persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn, newborn behavioral syndrome, and convulsion and Neonatal abstinence syndrome ans autism. Of course, vertigo, vomiting and missed period may occur as side effects of Stalopam. So consult your doctor to change to a safe anxiolytic medication.

Hello and good day. The mixture of two treatments can sometimes cause changes in your body so its better to choose between the two. citalopram is usually not advised and patient is taken off once she becomes pregnant but then we switch to other anti depressants e.g Fluoxetine considered relatively safer during pregnancy or buspirone which is safe to treat synptoms of anxiety and depression.
