Having Back Pain, Spinal Disk Slipped. How Many Days It Take To Cure Slip Disk Problem?
Hi i m 23 Male and i got severe Back pain 2 weeks ago after i finished my workout in gym when i checked with doctor he said my spinal disk s5l1 has slip disk problem. it has been 2 weeks and still i m having pain in my lower back. My Questions is How many days will it take to cure a slip disk problem? How many days will it take for this pain to go away? How many days i have to wear this LS Bel?
Hi, Symptoms related to a slipped disc can be long term and last weeks or months. in the meantime it is important to treat the symptoms. Therefore, I suggest you take paracetamol and ibuprofen for the pain. Continue gentle, low impact exercise if the pain allows. Physiotherapy and help build up core muscle strength to support our back. The hope is that the bulging and inflamed disc reduces and the nerve pain subsides. If these conservative measures do not relieve your pain then surgery may be necessary. I hope you feel better soon. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger, MBChB. FRCA.
