Having Burning Sensation And Tingling In Urethra During Urination. Given Ciprofloxacine. What Could This Be?

Hi I was having a burning sensation and a tingling in my urethra during urination and then I was pushing as if more urine was coming after and frequent visits to the bathroom. Went to see a doctor and was placed on an antibiotics called ciprofloxacine for 5 days. Am in the fourth day of the five days and the burning sensation, tingling in e urethra and pushing after urinating is all gone, bathroom visits have also reduced but now a clearly kind of sticky light yellow discharge with little blood stains come out after urinating, no pains. Pls what could this be? Is it normal, do I need to be placed on another course of anti biotics. Will be grateful for a quick response.

you have got a urinary tract infection. Use of ciprofloxacin unable to kill infection. so, at first you have to do a routine urine examination and a culture & sensitivity report. the report tell you which micro organism is it and which antibiotic is affective against it. So, after seeing the sensitive antibiotic, charge it. It may be a serious problem as upper urinary tract infection may cause acute kidney damage. Apart from antibiotic, take lots of water, flavoxate for burning urination.
