Having Ceflex, Cipro For UTI. Severe Pelvic Pain, Pressure, Unable To Stand. Normal?
i have a UTI and have been on antibiotics for over a week. I started with T, but kept getting worse. then dr changed it to cipro, and it has continued to get worse. Now he called in ceflex to take in addition to cipro. But i have so much pelvic pain and pressure that i can't stand to walk at all. is this normal with a UTI or kidney infection?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. As you mentioned that you are taking ciprofloxacin and ceflex and both drugs are not fit for you. This excruciating pain in the pelvis may be due to , 1 Pelvic inflammatory disease and this may be due to sexual contact , so go for this as VDRL . 2 Calculus in urinary system , can be confirmed by ultrasound of abdomen with emphasis of kidneys ,ureter, bladder and urethra. 3 Pelvic pain may be due to any disease in pelvic bone , can be confirmed by C T scan of pelvic bone and consult an orthopedic doctor. Urine culture and drug sensitivity test will find out the exact type of drug fit for you so get in it. Good luck. Dr. HET
