Having Ear Infection. Given Amoxicillin And Paracetamols. Having Burping. Is It Normal?

I have an ear infection, well I think I do, I don't usually burp a lot at all, only when I have a lot of fizzy pop to drink, but since Iv'e had the terrible ear ache and ear infection I'm burping a lot and it really hurts my ear, I was practically near enough deaf before I got the ear infection I had to hold my ear open so I could hear properly but I didn't think it was anything and didn't go to the doctors, now Iv'e got a dreadful earache, I went to the doctors today but he couldn't fit me in to see me so just gave me a prescription for Amoxicillin 500mg and I take 2 paracetamols as well, but it's not exactly like a loud burp It's kind of quiet like a hiccup.. What's happening? I can't hear very well at all, and I'm annoying people keep saying "What?" When they speak.. Is it normal to be burping more? Do people with an ear infection tend to burp more?
