Having Flutters Below Throat. Took Levothyroxin. Should I Undergo Stress Test?
Hello, I have been having flutters below my throat. i had an ekg which came out normal. I did the 24 hr heart monitor which also came out normal. I do have an endocrynologist who just had me get my t3 and t4 tested. I am currently on levothroxin 50mcg. is a stress test necessary?
The stress test is normally done to see how the heart responds to increased work or stress. This would normally be done if the ECG or holter was abnormal in anyway or if you had a history of chest pain that occurs with activity.
IN your case where both the ECG and holter are normal, the stress would not be necessary.
I hope this helps
