Having In-growth, And Red Bumps With Pus, Around Bikini Area, Mons Pubis. Could It Be Herpes Or Just A Bump?

Hi,
I have always been very sensitive to shaving/waxing in pubic area and am now getting lazer hair removal to hopefully avoid ingrown hairs all together. I have dark red bump on the mons pubis, right by my underwear line and i popped it the other night to see if an ingrown could be relieved. A lot of pus came out and then blood.. I am paranoid whenever any sort of suspect bump shows up in the genital region and am hoping this is an ingrown hair not herpes? If it were herpes, I think it would be more than one bump and located more in the mucous membrane part of the vagina rather than the mons. Is that assumption likely?

-Infection of the hair follicles causing folliculitis
-As the lesions mainly located on vagina, those could be due to some genital infection like herpes as you suspecting.
So you once consult gynecologist and get examined to find out the actual nature of the lesion and take treatment accordingly.
