Having Neck Pain, Dizziness, And Swelling. Diagnosed Of Spondylitis. Suggestions?
Hi My wife is having a neck pain which goes to the back as well. recently she was facing dizziness when she looks on sudden movements. She has to sit on computer for long hours because of her Job. Doctor here says she is facing spondylitis and she is undergoing a physiotherapy treatement. But at the same time we noticed a swelling at the back of her lower head above the neck. What could be the cause of this? Is this something that happens when you are having neck pain and spondylitis? Please help!!
It looks that except spondylitis you are worried about swelling at lower back part of her neck.
You should absolutely not worried about this swelling. This should be most probably a collection of fat cells at the lower part of neck. This is found in no. of persons. This is known as buffalo hump in medical terms. Cause of this fat pad is following-
-Stress
-In cushing disease(there is excess of a hormone known as cortisol)
