Having Noticed Redness, swelling And Dryness On The Right Eye
I accidentally fell asleep with my contacts in and make make up on (i dont do this often).I slept on the right side of my face. When I woke up my eyes were dry and uncomfortable so I took out my contacts. Then I noticed that my right eye was red, and eyelid swollen down to the lacrimal area. There's no pain, it just feels odd blinking. I am usually near sighted, but when I cover my left eye and look at something my right takes a second to focus. Now my eye is still swollen but the redness is going away and my vision is getting better. How can I get the swelling to go away and what is wrong?
Hello It seems from the history that you are having redness, swelling of the eyes following sleeping with contacts. This indicates contact lens induced infection or corneal abrasion. The treatment is by use of antibiotic eye drops and anti-inflammatory drugs. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
