Having Pain And Pressure In Chest And Mid Back. Does This Mean I Was Having A Heart Attack?
I was having chest pain this morning . I work for a cardiology office . the pain i was having was chest pressure and pain in my mid back . does this mean i was having a heart attack . I was giving nitro which re leaved the chest pressure. Doctor is doing a CTA in the morning . does this mean there is some thing wrong with my heart . I am a 50 year old female .
YES if you have taken nitro ( isosorbide dinitrate ) and your chest heaviness and pain in back is relieved that that does mean that the vessels of your heart are stenosed and nitro did ilate it.
The next step will be CT angiography for diagnosis of occluded vessel + echo.
Hope this helps.
Take care
