Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The premenstrual pain in the lower abdomen is usually caused by the uterine cramps associated with the periods. The best way to help these is to go for a hot fomentation and mild over the counter anti spasmodic along with a mild pain killer after meals. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Rakhi Tayal , drrakhitayal@gmail.com
