Having Problem With Left Elbow, Inflamed Joint. Scheduled For Humira Injection. Will This Reduce Inflammation In Elbow
Hi i have AS but have had serious trouble with my left elbow due to an injury playing football over a year ago and the joint is permanently inflamed and have about 20o range of motion. I am due to start humira injections for my AS in january. Will the humira reduce the inflammation in my elbow too? I am told it my elbow is constantly inflamed due to my AS. I forgot to ask this question when i was at my doctors the other week.
Hi First of all you need to get x ray done of your elbow to know any arthritic changes. You have not stated that you have pain at lateral or medial side. You can take ultra sound at affected site and take local hydro cortisone injection and apply ice. Hope this will help you. Get well soon. Thank you.
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood your concern. In relation to your above concern, Humira injection is classified as iimunosuppression drug. This will eventually decreases the symptoms and inflammation. It also improves the range of physical function. Hope it helped you. Thanks.
