Having Salty Taste In My Lips, Hashi Type 2. Cure For Salty Lips?

Hi doctor , iv a constant salty taste on my lips , I'm hashi type two and was undiagnosed for over twenty years. Synthroids had no effect on me. Started armour meds in feb and lips started tasting salty. It came and went , iv had no meds for five days now and the salt taste is back. Is it a bad sign to have salty lips on armour and why. And how come I'm tasting salt now without medication. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to HCM.The common causes of salty lips is dehydration.Other causes include cancer drug side effects/Radiotherapy,salivary gland disease and Sjogren's Syndrome, lastly due to bacterial, infection of the oral cavity. This probably is unrelated to the thyroiditis.
