Hi, Smoky vision may be due to RD, macular degeneration and cataract. If you have ruled out retinal detachment, you may be suffering from macular degeneration which is an old age disease or cataract which is lens opacity causing blurring and smoky vision.Macular degeneration is an irreversible process. You need to take antioxidant supplements and show a retina specialist who can help you out. Cataract if present can be operated and you will definitely have better vision.I believe you should take a second opinion if your symptoms still persist....TC..Dr Ajay Shankar kar
