Having Swimmer S Ear, Why Do I Feel Dizzy And Pain?

I was diagnosed with Swimmers Ear 3 weeks ago. Given antibiotic drops for it. The pain has not gone away..and my ear fills full and it hurts. I used peroxide in it twice..the first time it bubbled like crazy. The second time no bubbles..but made me dizzy and now it hurts.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have swimmer's ear along with pain and dizziness . Swimmer's ear is an infection in the outer ear canal . Swimmer's ear is also known as acute external otitis or otitis externa. The most common cause of this infection is bacteria invading the skin inside your ear canal . In some ceases like in lower immunity and when it left untreated this infection spread to further and cause further complications like pain and dizziness as happening in your case . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again for proper checkup . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan and examine with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe sstronger antibiotics , steroid ear drops , antiemetic drug and sometimes place tubes for drainage .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
