Having Thyroid Problem. Taking Thyronorm. Test Done. What Does It Indicate?
I have thyroid since 3yrs.. I am taking thyronorm 50mcg.. my wait is increasing continuously and it has reached to 60.. Daily I am getting cramps in my leg.
Below is my report: TOTAL TRIIODOTHYRONINE (T3) C.L.I.A 95 ng/dl 60 - 200
All of the above results are normal. The T3 of 95 is within the range of 60 to 200, T 4 is within its lab quoted range of 4.5 to 12 with a value of 8.7 and the TSH is also within normal range.
Weight increases can be due to thyroid disease in some persons but based on the above values this may not be the case for you.
To lose weight you would need to decrease the amount of calories you get from food and drink. This would mean decreasing the use of juices and sodas and using water. In addition it would require altering the food intake by increasing vegetables and decrease the use of high calorie foods.
Increasing exercise would help with general fitness, heart health and to keep off any weight that you lose.
I hope this helps
