Having Worms In Stool. What To Do? Have Pets At Home
i have a cat and a dog, both go out side but are also indoor pets. i just 3 days ago noticed a brown worm about 4 inches long floating free in the water of the toilet after i went. I had been taking fiver for the last 1 weeks and thought it was a piece of colan discharge. But the next day i went #2, wiped and felt something hit my leg! Dear god it was attached to the tp. i think it was about 10 or so inches and appeared hollow. This I couldn't get over and what im seeing im not sure what to do than to stay very clean. wash hand always etc. etc Im really grosed out about it and am afraid to go #2 anymore. please advise, thank you kindly
Hi, many thanks for the query! Nothing much to worry, it is quite obvious that contact with pets has caused this accidental ingestion of the worm eggs. Get your stools examined for the type of the worms. Take Albendazole/Metronidazole as per the report & with your doctor's opinion. Do check your Haemoglobin & Eosinophil count in blood. Wish you a good health. Take care.
