ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, in my opinion you itching sensation is because of some allergic reaction.
IF i were your treating doctor I would suggest you to take anti histamines like cetrizine, chlorpheneramine malate, once or twice a day for 3 days to reduce itching.
Since your head cold is fine not to worry, if it persist take take paracetamol when required. Take care.
