Head Heaviness, Stomach Pain, Sore Throat, Excessive Saliva Formation. Treatment Options?

It s about two days that I don t want to get off bed because I feel really sick. My head feels heavy and I get stomach pains too. Overall, my body really aches and I have a terrible sore throat . My mom says it s not a fever but I m not sure. What do I have? I have also been having an immense amout of saliva , sort of like the saliva I get before I m going to throw up, but I don t even feel like vomitting.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for writing to H.C.M. for your query.
I have gone through your clinical history and I am suspecting that you are having acute pharyngitis which is giving you feverish feeling like- headache, body ache, and severe sore throat leading to painful deglutition resulting in excessive salivation.
As far as treatment is concern first of all you should go for these investigations.-
(1) Culture and sensitivity of throat swab.
(2) Blood- CBC, ESR, Widal test, M.P.
(4) Urine - R & M.
Till the reports of investigations comes you should take- Antibiotic, antipyretic-analgesic,and as soon as reports of investigations comes the treatment may be switch over accordingly.

With Regards.
