Hello and welcome to HCM
A combination of headache and red eye points that there is some eye problem.
Red eye occurs in a number of cases like:
1. Conjuctivitis- Inflammation of conjunctiva/ outer transparent covering of eye
2. Blepharitis-This is inflammation of the eye lids
3. Uveitis- Uveitis is inflammation of the uveal tract, the iris, uvea and choroid
4. Injury to the eye
5. Corneal ulcer
6. Glaucoma- angle closure
7. Subconjunctival hemorrhage
8. Refractive errors
However, a combination of red eye and headache is seen in refractive errors glaucoma- angle closure.
Consult your opthalmologist for complete examination and investigations.
Examination and investigations will help to get towards the diagnosis and management.
