Hearing Worsened After Stapedectomy Surgery, Diagnosis Of Nerves Connected Being Dead. Chances Of Amendment?
Good day Doctor. my friend went through stapedectomy surgery, but unfortunatly her hearing got worse, its been a year the operation is done, and the hearing has gone from bad to worse. Is there a chances of reoperation or any solution. We went to docters they said that the nearves connected are dead. Any solution any operation any place it can be done please let me know.
Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. Stapedectomy operation is an operation to improve the hearing loss due to immobile stapes bone in the
middle ear. Usually this surgery will have a good result and hearing. unless there is internal ear or nerve problem. unfortunately it has happened.
The operation must have happened on one side, the other side will be better in my openion. she must be habbituated to go with 1 ear. Slowly she
will be slowly accostomed to that. If she keeps the face in certain angle to the opposite person who is talking she will be comfertable.
Besies she should not get depressed follow some diversion procedures as yogameditation gardening etc. thanks for calling.
