Heart Beat Felt In Ears, Head With Whooshing Sound Post Blood Donation. Normal?
Hi. I donated blood 2 days ago. I did the alyx machine, which allowed me to donate whole blood a nd double red blood cells. This process also removed my plasma and then retu rnof ed it to my body. Since the donation, I have had my heartbeat very present in my head/ ears. Sounds strange but almost like a whoosh sound put to the beat of my heart. Should I be concerned or is this normal?
Hi,
Welcome to HCM
It is good to donate blood, if you have good Hemoglobin level there should not be any thing to worry, and as far as heart beat in head and ears may be beause of some hyperdynamic circulation you are feeling that and it should go in a day or two.
As donating blood stimulates new RBCs to form hence new RBC comes in the circulation.
Keep donating blood once in 3 to 4 months.it is life saving to some one.
Take care of yourself.
