Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am 18 years old I train football/soccer in past few days weeks my heart starts beating fast for no reason and my hands get cold . In the night I wake up with sick feeling in my stomach and fast heart beat. I m 192 tall and have 89 kg. Is this serious problem or it s just temporary, anyway I m confused since I m always training/running. Usually when I do physical activity my heart is normal but when I don t do it this happens
You should see a cardiologist and get yourself examined and investigated...Normally, heart rate raises with effort / with training, it slows down...The other way around as you say could be Anxiety / Hormones / additional nerve paths and so on.
EKG /HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
