Heart Blockage, Hypertension, High BP, Family History Of Heart Problems. Options Other Than Angioplasty?

A very Good morning Sir,
I am a 52 years male... Recently i have undergone various test related to heart & it was found that i have 50% of blockage..
I was able to walk on treadmil for just 10 minutes (or upto stage 4).... I have a very very strong history of heart disease
cases in my family & that too from my maternal as well as paternal side...
I have absolutely zero physical exercise & is very found of Non-Vegetarian cuisines.. Though i drink alcohol occasionaly but i dont smoke at all...
My sugar level came out to be 106... I am an height of 5'6" & weighs 97kgs... I am suffering from hypertension & high blood pressure & currently eating
the prescriptions given by the cardiologists..
AM worried now as i am afraid of doing angioplasty or any of its kind...
I want to reduce my blockage & weight...
Kindly help me to come out of this risk....

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

10 minutes and stage 4 on treadmill is a good indeed!
50% block is not that bad – but is a warning...

Overweight is a risk factor
Sedentary life style is another
Hypertension adds up..
Family history is bad
Sedentary life style is bad too
So is your food habit...

If you are really concerned, you
Keep your weight to normal / even a little less
Do regular EXERCISE – say walking or jogging - 30 minutes a day / at least 5 days in a week. Isometric exercise (like bull worker) is bad.
Healthy FOOD is a must. Avoid saturated fats – coconut oil, palm oil, butter, ghee, full cream milk...Avoid junk foods in particular – French fries have palm oil / Pizza has cheese / Indian sweets are made in ghee.../ Change to Poly-un-saturated oil – like sun flower oil. / Include Mono-un-saturated oil – Olive oil.
Take statin in addition – aggressive reduction of LDL to 70 mg helps.
These will prevent further progression...
Keep following up with your cardiologist...

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
