Heaviness In Scrotum. Ultrasound Shows Varicocele In Testis. Have Testicle Pain. What To Do?
Hello Sir,
My Name is XXXXXXX and i'm having trouble in my scrotum kind of heaviness not much so i just consult a urologist who suggested me to take a ultrasound of scrotum and ultra sound is saying my left testis is having verisocel in one vein measures 2.4mm at relaxed state (without valsalva) and right one is clear so I'm confused because im also having light pain in my left testicle please let me know what to do with that and is that ok to have this kind of verisocel or it can create problem in fertility or any other thing.. thanks
You have a small, grade I varicocoele, which should not be the cause of pain. Larger varicocoeles also usually do not cause pain, and we operate on them only when we find them interfering with sperm production. This is easily assessed by means of a semen analysis which should be done in a good lab. The pain can be managed by means of a good scrotal support and mild analgesics. i would not recommend surgery for varicocele at this stage - things could get a lot worse.
