Heavy Chest, Short Breath, Tired. Blood Test Normal. Whats This, Prevention?
Hello, I been to the emergency room twice i seen my doctors and they say they don't see anything wrong from the tests and blood drawn from me. However, my chest feels heavy and its shortness of breath sometimes just taking a shower and putting lotion on can cause me to have shortness of breath and feel tired. This dont happen often however when it does its very intense like my heart is skipping beat and my chest hurts. Then after that my chest begins to get heavy. Can anyone tell me what i might have and how to prevent this from happening.
Hi rplummer23,
Thanks for coming to HCM.
I wish if you have told about your age, smoking habits, known allergy, histopry of frequent colds etc.
I advise you to go for two tests, one ECG to rule out any cardiac problem and second one to go for a simple breath test called spirometry to see if you have got asthma. If it is there a simle inhaled bronchodilator will help you and your shortness of breath will subside in a matter of second.
If concomitant you have nasal allergy then along with inhaler steroid nasal drop will help.
ASk your doctor for the same.....
Best wishes
