Hell Dr. Rynne, I’ve had these horrible infected bump/sores on my head for many years that I’ve unfortunately picked at. I stopped messing with them and it became dandruff for another many years, however about 3 years ago, the bumps become progressively itchier, so I pick/heal/scab/repeat cycle continued. I used some home remidies to try to decrease the infection- 1/2 diluted H2O2 or ACV. It helped curb most of the bumps, but there remains a few main ones, particularly one on the back bottom curvature of my head.
Additionally, I was in a very bad MVA 5 years ago that badly whipped lashed my neck and the muscles on the left side have felt “chucky” and weakened so I would I deeply massaged it to get relief.
A few weeks ago, i woke up with severely stiff neck, turning left was very uncomfortable and straining it for 2 days. on day 2 I did notice a pea sized lump on the back of my neck.
My sport’s therapy massage friend gave me a neck massage and taught me many ROM and strengthening exercises. After 2 days I could turn my head with no pain.
Now for the past 2 weeks, I have a large, non painful mass on the covering the cervical spine just below the hairline and extending to the right. It seems to have grown a bit larger to the right.
