Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am 29 years old. When I was 22 I had an infection in womb (I think it was bacterial). Symptoms were: abdomen pain (not a constant, more stabbing) and small bleeding time to time. I got an antibiotic and it cleared. I had no problem since, until now. About 3 weeks ago I started feeling same pain. Not strong but uncomfortable. I had 1 small bleeding after few days (not connected to the period). Uncomfortable feeling in abdomen is more frequent and stronger now. A week ago I had a water infection and I went to see a doctor. I also mentioned about my worries about pain and bleeding. I got an antibiotic for cystitis and have been told that in my age this pain is probably nothing to be worried about. Doctor sent me for test anyway (smear and swob) but first available appointment is on 27.09. I am really worried at the moment because pain is getting worse and I have tested in 20 days. Could you please advise if there is anything to be worried about? Should I have scan to make sure that everything is alright or smear is enough? Is there any different place than GP where I could go for an advise? Thank you, Karina.
