Hello, I am a 22yr old female who has been having period issues for about four or five years now. It all started back in my sophmore/junior year of college. I started them normally around age twelve and everything was fine until I reached high school. Toward my senior year they became irregular and would skip. In college they would skip several cycles and would widen from every three months to five months to six months to a year without occuring. Typically I would have normal bleeding for about five days and those got lighter and shorter then stopped. I have seen a OBGYN and tried one birth controle, no results. Then i saw an endocronologist and got metformin. I got blood tests and noticed my inslin getting resistance and a little high sugar low estrigin and a little high testostorone. I was diagnosed with PCOS. Metformin didn't work and I moved back home. I saw another OBGYN she gave me pills to start no results. Saw another endocronologist recently and all my bloodwork came back normal even the testostrone. I have another apppointment with OBGYN but I am frusterated. Where do I go from here? Why have they stopped? At one point I gained forty pounds in three months. I excersice and eat healthy nothing out of the extream. i have had GI issues since I was a kid and in college I had to go to the hospital for severe abdomen pain. What should I do?
