Hello, I Am A 45 Year Old Female Nurse And

Hello, I am a 45 year old female nurse and I have been on Metoprolol Succinate ER 25mg now for about 2 years. I weigh around 165lbs and I am 62 inches in height. When I was in RN school I stopped my regular exercising and put on a lot of weight (from 135 - 165). I had my first episode of palpitations when I was in nursing school, but only like once a month. It culminated in a spiked blood pressure of 145/99 and I had to go to the ER where I was started on the Metoprolol. I was also having a buzzing sound in my left ear that matched my pulse. It went away when I resumed exercising, but has since returned in spite of my continued exercise. Stress is a major part of my profession and I am in a supervisory role now. I am concerned that my condition is worsening.
