Hello. I fell down a full flight of stairs on March 8th. I have no recollection of getting up or the fall. My husband found me face down at the bottom and called 911 when I was unresponsive (he said it lasted about 5 minutes). Everything seemed to be injured on my right side...broke right side of my nose, broke my right wrist, right ear all black and blue, abrasions and more all on right.
Since this happened I have experienced terrible vertigo when I put my head back in a recliner, turn my head from this position slightly to the right. Additionally, every night when I roll from left to right side, I get that sick spinning feeling.
I do not have headaches, nor do I have vision issues. Mostly what bothers me is the inability to put my head back on a recliner and that rolling over from left to right in bed.
The only relief I had is when I had wrist surgery on the 24th and they put a patch behind my ear. For three days I felt much better-- but I had to remove it they said.
I finally went to my primary care doctor today. He ordered an MRI (I had a CT scan with dye in the ER after the fall and it didn't pick up anything).
Does this seem the best way to proceed?
Thank you.
Linda
