Hello!
I had an upper endoscopy performed last Wendesday after a year or so with IBS, GERD, and constant discomfort. I am a 28 year old male and other than that, I am a healthy individual with no under lying issues.
The procedure went well (tests I got backed indicated no H. Pylori and chronic gastritis), but three days later I started having chest pain that has been off and on. The only thing I can describe the feeling of is being a mix of angina / that feeling you get when there is a lump in your throat and chest when you eat too fast.
No sweating, loss of appetite, no fever, and normal bowel movements.
Doctor ordered Chest X-Ray which had no findings.
Blood pressure and O2 normal.
Doctor said it could be just increase of gas, some discomfort from the procedure itself, or even spasms of the esophagus but didn't have a definite answer - they did tell me to take 40mg of Omeprazole (twice a day) and 1 Zantac before bed for the next three days to see if that takes care of the issue if not - E.R.
Should I get a second opinion? EKG? Chest CAT?
