Hello, I Had Moderate To Severe Pain In My Right

Hello,
I had moderate to severe pain in my right knee following a slip and twist. GP & specialist both said it was probably a meniscal (?sp) tear as all symptoms fit, however neither the e-ray or MRI show anything other than very mild osteoarthritis. If I walk or stand for a long period my leg & foot become extremely puffy (oedema) and extremely painful. I cannot walk on uneven ground without pain, nor up & down stairs.
I have tried water physio, and an injection of Synvisc-One with no improvement.
I've used crutches for 12 months now to help my stability on longer walks but I would just like a normal life back. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Linda
