Hello, I had my tonsils removed Friday September 4th and was given liquid amoxacilin and liquid hydrocodone with acetominephen however thats spelled haha.. My last bowel movement was probably thursday night the day before the surgery. Since friday i have only had 3 small bowel movements that hurt to push out and only resulted in small hard lumps coming out and it felt as if I should have went more but couldnt. Ive been verry worried and threw up Sunday morning after drinking the liquid pain killer. Two days later i woke up in the middle of the night puking again after drinking the liquid. I have stopped drinking the liquid for about 2 days now. Monday I took two laxatives and that did nothing so Wednesday i tried a dulcolax supository (i believe it was called) and that sort of made a bowel movement. That night I also tried drinking a small amount of epsom salt and in the middle of the night I had a very small hard bowel movement. Today (thursday) nothing has happend so I tried to drink more epsom salt. Im wondering if I am constipated or just over thinking things. My diet has been a mixture of soft foods like apple sauce, smoothies, mashed potatoes and soup. My stomach has slight pressure and off and on pain. I have been farting quite often but worry about not pooping.. If you could id love some advice..
