Hello, I Have Sjögren’s Syndrome And About 3 Days Ago

Hello,
I have Sjögren’s syndrome and about 3 days ago discovered a golf ball sized lump in the soft area under the left side of my chin. It was very painful the first day I noticed it and the pain also ran down the left side of my neck known to my collar bone. A dentist friend felt it and said he thought it was a blocked salivary gland and a swollen lymph node and told me to apply warm to hot moist compresses to the area. And suck on lemon drops and sour sugar free candies . I am very alarmed about this as I know sjogrens can cause lymphoma. I went to a med first over this holiday weekend and he also thinks it’s just a clogged salivary gland and gave me the same instructions. But in addition told me to see my MD and get a CT scan if it hasn’t changed in size within 5-7 days, I’m not running a temp and the area is not red or hot to the touch. What are your thoughts ?
