Hello I have a question.... Over a year ago I had a surgery that 1. replaced a spinal cord stimulator battery.
2. Placement of a mesh screen over area where 2 years prior a emergency gull bladder was removed. Had a KNOT the size of a golf ball.
3. A dual Hernia surgery.
It has been over a year. I now have really bad pains in right lower groin near patch. Also on left side as well as some on the right, but more on left. A pain that effects the testicles that I never had before.
It gets really bad at times. I mean BAD...
I have recieved nerve blocks trying to locate the nerves. Also about 2 weeks ago I had a Alcohol Nerve block just above the scrotum on left. I was told the pain should start to go away in 2 weeks. It hasn't and in fact it is now worse then ever. BREAK
5 days ago I awoke and the pain was really bad. I haven't been wearing underwear to bed because of anything elastic (bands) that wrap around groin area. So upon going to take a pee. I noticed that I can only explain it as my penis had had a "Stroke" the foreskin was hanging off left side of penis. I am circumcised. So this was shocking. Though I will admit I haven't looked that good since my teens. :)
Anyway, since then, now the entire penis shaft on the left side feels like it is sunburned. Pain is horrible.
I went into ER the other day for sinus related issues. I was prescribes prednisone. It seemed to help with some of that pain. I haven't got the script filled yet. But will tomorrow. So my question is "IF" when I start taking the prednisone. And if it works, how long would it be safe to take it. I am 58 yrs old.
