Hello I Have Non Stop Pain Upper Middle Back That

Hello I have non stop pain upper middle back that radiates to the left side of the upper back and side of rib area where the bra strap closes to the entire left side under the arm rib area. Hope that explains the area. It is a pulsing pain and never goes away. I saw my doctor today that ordered an xray in which i just got back for taking. It will take 3-5 business days for results. I am worried. What could this pain be. Been two weeks and getting worse.
