Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, Last week I had sharp pain in the back and inside of my upper left thigh. I did not do anything to strain or injure it. It did not feel like a pulled muscle. It was very tender to the touch. Painful to walk. No visible signs of redness, swelling or rash. It started on Wednesday morning. Pain continued throughout the day Thursday. Called my doctor out of concern that it might possibly be a blood clot. My doctor did not feel like it was a blood clot and felt like it was more of a muscle issue. My BP was elevated (153/95). By Saturday my leg was 100% pain free. But Sunday afternoon the same kind of pain started in the back of my head (lower left side) and is still currently hurting. It's not like a head ache pain. Tender to touch. Hurts to move my neck and head. I have not called my doctor back because I don't want to seem like a hypochondriac or a flake! BP is elevated again but I'm not sure if my machine is accurate. It's showing 156/100, 146/101, 153/102 consecutively within minutes. I have chlorthalidone 25 mg. Which I took today. I have not been taking it because my BP has been normal and the medication was making me nauseous. Dr told me to just take as needed. What are your thoughts?
