Recently I had a sore throat and ear infection and put it off for 3 weeks or so before I went in and was seen by a doctor. I do suffer from allergies (post nasal drip, and even have to take prescription steroid eye drops for allergic red eye.) I seem to suffer quite frequently from ear infections and sore throats but I got a little concerned when I developed this numbness, dull pain running from my neck/jawline down to my armpit. All my symptoms are on the right side only. Which is what made me go in to be seen. They gave me a steroid shot as well as some antibiotics. Within 24 hours all symptoms I had were gone. A week later all my symptoms were back including the pain and numbness. I have had no fever, discharge, or any other typical bug issues associated with strep, tonsillitis, etc... I have an appointment scheduled with the allergist next week as well as an ENT doctor. I am very concerned!
