Hello doc,
My wife is a nurse and she recently held down a patient who is hiv positive, while they tried to inject the patient blood ran through the patients body across her hands and fingers. She washed it a minute or two afterwards. I am really concerned. Could hiv be transmitted through blood on fingers. She checked with alcohol and had no sting. She bites her fingernails. Please help as this is affecting my home and she is sad that I am scared to touch her.
