Hello doctor! I have a disturbing problem. I am a young male of 23. I have a high amount of proteus miriabilis in my urinary tract despite having good hygene. This does not disturb me in any way but it does my sexual partner as she gets post coital cystitis if we do not use protection. The problem is that I am resistant to most antibiotics and I have a fear that if I use the last remaining antibiotics that my body isn't resistant to - I may be vulnerable to infections in the future... is there a way out if this? Me and my partner are healthy, both loyal and she is clean. We really want to take a step foreward in our relationship...
