Hello doctor, I recently got a burn on my upper thigh as I was at d salon. the stylist dropped the hot straightener on my leg. the burn is the size of my ring finger. I had a blister that very same day and it burst too as I had to attend a wedding and accidentally got hit. Its been 5 days. I am applying neosporin and silverex ionic (silver nitrate gel). rhe doctor I consulted in India said it's a superficial burn and not to cover it. However there is swelling and redness and pain. I need to know if I should cover it after applying the ointment to prevent infection and for rapid healing. Also Once the burn is healed, i need to know various medicaments for removal of scars besides mederma, vitamin E oil and honey.
