Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello if there is someone out there that can help me I am very concern about my so called diagnosed panic attacks. I have been experienced them for over a year now. I have been to the Doctor to receive medications as well has routinely seeing a therapist to teach me coping and breathing techniques. I was told that my work and other personal issues in my life contributed to my problem. Since then I have followed the Doctors orders and yet I still get the horrific panic attach that make my heart feel like its going to jump out my chest. The feeling happens suddenly mostly when I'm driving and when it happens it takes my breath away and leaves my head feeling swollen like Its not getting air. I began to take deep breaths to get the oxygen to my head and prevent from fainting but ultimately I end up with a excruciating headache. This is becoming scarier by the episode and I'm concerned this may happen in my sleep or something and I may not wake up. Please let me know could there be another diagnosis that I should be concerned about or if there is a medication I could suggest to my Dr that could help me.
