Hello, In Regards To An Orthodontic Question: I Am Concluding

Hello, in regards to an orthodontic question:

I am concluding my treatment in braces and am beginning to question some of the decisions my orthodontist is making.

My ortho is currently in the process of finalizing my bite and teeth (I had double jaw surgery). He is trying to close spaces between my canine and front teeth on both sides. The space was successfully in minimally closing the gap but it is still open(a mm on both sides). He is using chains on the top to do this, and a few months ago in conjunction w class two elastics and a triangle pattern as well. I feel that the spaces are not closing anymore because my bite is becoming too tite. My jaw is sore and I feel that every time I get an adjustment the space doesn't close but just makes my bite too tight.

I feel that the ortho overused the class 2 elastics and now has no more room to close the spaces.

Is this valid? Thanks
