Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my baby boy is 1,5 months, he is on formula feed, Humana platinum 1 from the very first days. When I was at hospital, he used to breastfeed all the time, there was very little milk, he cried all the time and consequently I had sores on nipples and terrible pain. When I came home, I asked the masseuse for help, she came for two days, on the fifth day after giving birth, she took 30 g milk from each breast and said that this was very little and I would not be able to breastfeed with this quantity, so she advised it was not worth to continue my efforts and was better to quit, she gave me medicine (3 tablets of Dostinex) and the milk dried in about three days. Now I regret so much that I believed her, I should still have tried, even if I fed him once a day, it would have been ok. Is relactation possible in this case ? Also O worry about the quality of the formula, would you recommend Humana ? He gains weight normally, he was born 3880 g, 53 cm. At the age of 1 month, he was 4700g, 56 cm. Look forward to your comments. Thanks a lot for your time, attention and advice in advance.
