Hello need help bad for my mother who fell in nursing home only 74 just found out was misdiagnosed with Alzheimer's and for 3-4 years has had hydrocephalus nuero wants to do surgery soon to drain fluid and test now fell next day has complete breat at shoulder where arm connects to shoulder to my total amazement er did nothing gave her wrong sling went to orthopedist and they said could not treat due to her condition did absolutely nothing my sister has poa and just took that answer I am outraged they refused to cast surgery no pain meds did not even put her in correct sling. Going on 3rd week now severe swelling hands purple and black arm also swollen how can this ever heal not casted when should of been. Was not given proper sling since day 1. They told my dumb sister could not treat her due to her condition but yet nuero can drain fluid from brain. Does not make sense. I'm afraid after 3 weeks now nothing can be done. If go to another orthopedist outraged this has happened they did not even give her anything for pain. Left now to just suffer as if animal and illegal to treat animals this way. She is suffering in bad pain and try's to tell them everyday. What can I do she needs help fast!!! Arm has not improved any as not in proper sling or casted at all. She only 74 not too old to treat. Neglected to do so. Doubt checked blood flow as only did X-ray hand has black mixed in purple don't sound good. She has Medicare and I think they didn't want to bother with her. Now still not being helped. Tell me what to do please anyone. Furious this happened when also needs fluid drained from brain asap. Thank you for any advice!!!
