I had a bleeding from my hemorrhoid a day before my period started. I notice that often before my period my hemorrhoids are swollen, or just bleeding a lot and only for the day before my period starts.
Hi, Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum,
You haven't mentioned your age. The veins around your anus tend to stretch under pressure and may bulge or swell. Swollen veins can develop from an increase in pressure in the lower rectum which may or may not be related to Hormonal Imbalance. It is just a co incidence that the hemorrhoids bleed just before your periods, that you have noted. Soak your anal area in plain warm water 10 to 15 minutes two to three times a day. Apply cold. Apply ice packs or cold compresses on your anus to relieve swelling. Apply 2% Xylocaine after you pass stools every time, limit straining while passing stools. When ever you feel the urge to pass, do not delay. Eat fiber rich foods like Fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Drink plenty of water.
