Hemorrhoids With Pain And Bleeding. Taken OTC Medicines. Is Surgery The Only Cure?
Hello Dr. Grief, I'm 20 years old and I have hemorrhoids. I have had it for at least 4 years ( I didn't know I had it until about a year and a half) and I still have discomforts from time to time and when I do it's pretty painful. I don't always bleed and when I do it's either slightly red or a little darker. I have tried pills and creams as soon as I found out, but stopped because I couldn't afford the treatments anymore. Is there a solution that doesn't involve surgery??
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. I would like to advise you as following measures . 1 Straining during defecation is the main cause of hemorrhoids . So when desire of defecation is very strong then defecate. 2 Always take high fiber diet , avoid greasy , spicy foods. 3 Certain drugs are available , use them. I usually prescribe my patient , anovate cream for local application with nefidipine tablets . In my opinion consult a PHYSICIAN and get his opinion , most probably he will not advise you surgery. Good luck. Dr. HET
